A dark comedy sprinkled with musical solos, duets and interludes. The story explores the history and downfall of ‘Black Peter” who is the elf in charge of Santa’s naughty list. The script explores the darker sides of Santa and his yearly operations. The play is directed by Laura Riddle, the Department Chair of Theater at UW- Green Bay.
As with previous Venture Theatre productions, “Black Peter” is organically cultivated. Pat Quigley of Green Bay penned the script and the lyrics, Kevin MacLeod of Green Bay wrote the music. The owner of ComedyCity/Venture Theatre, Mike Eserkaln, plays the lead role. Other performers include Barb Robertson and Christianne Jacobs sharing the role of ‘Margarita’, Jason Zirbel as ‘Jack’, Tony Mayer as ‘Kris Kringle’, Laurie Bruinooge as ‘Mrs. Kringle’ and Peter Blavat as ‘Rudy’. Each performer will also be responsible for several puppets roles within the production.
The play contains some situations which are not suitable for all ages.
Shows are every Friday and Saturday at 8pm in Venture Theatre. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 with a student ID.

One Act Scrap Heap Festival, written by Matt Worzala, Pat Quigley, Mike Eserkaln, Peter Blavat, and others, will be playing on the Venture Theatre stage February 10th – March 18th.
The show plays Friday & Saturday nights @ 8.pm.
One Act Scrap Heap Festival is a collection of 12 mostly comedic short plays (from 2 to 15 minutes long) performed by 6 actors, and utilizing 11 directors.
