DE PERE — Venture Theatre will open its new comedy, “3 Stories from Middleville,” this week.
Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 8 through Oct. 14, at the theatre, 380 Main Ave.
The original script was written by Matt Worzala and directed by Mike Eserkaln.
The three acts tell of unrelated occurrences in the sleepy town of Middleville — murder, missing monkeys, Mole-Men and earthquakes.
The cast features a mix of ComedyCity and community actors: Peter Blavat, Justina Cegelski, Jessica Green, Jared Knabenbauer, Mike Lorenz and Nick Ludy.
“3 Stories from Middleville” are part of the theater’s four-show season. Also scheduled are “The Brothers Plank,” Nov. 3-Dec. 9; “One-act Theatre Festival,” Feb. 9-March 17; and “North and South Waunobie,” April 3 to May 19.
